In baseball, hitting for the cycle means that a batter hits a single, a double, a triple, and a home run during the same game. Hitting for the cycle is a rare baseball event, occurring about as of ...View Article

The Wobble Chair is a therapeutic exercise designed to maximally pivot and hydrate the ligaments, discs and tissues of the spine. While this therapeutic exercise begins in the lower back, various movements address hydration of the entire spine.

The Thoracic Roll is a therapeutic exercise designed to mobilize the thoracic spine (mid back) and build core strength in the neck and low back, when performed properly.

Cervical Wall Traction
The Cervical Wall Traction is a therapeutic exercise designed to hydrate the spine from the neck down to the low back. This repetitive type of traction hydrates the discs and ligaments of the spine, and helps to restore the cervical and lumbar lordotic curves.
Unlike many other traction devices, this one does not require water or sand and has a hook for over the door use when at home. This device is very easy to travel with, making therapy while on vacation or for our frequent flyer patients very feasible.

The fulcra are designed to initially reshape or "mold" the spine back to the "s" shaped curves. Initially the fulcra are used while lying in bed, after sufficient wobbling has been performed. After you are able to tolerate lying on the fulcra in bed for 20 minutes, you graduate to lying on the fulcra while on the floor. After you are able to tolerate lying on the fulcra on the floor for 20 minutes, we will begin the fulcra exercises and eventually improve to the advanced fulcra.

There are three different levels of Fulcra exercises. These exercises are designed to build spinal muscle strength while the spine is properly curved. This way your spine will be able to hold the curves once you remove the fulcra.
Head and Body Weighting
The results our head and body weighting patients experience are far superior to those who do not! Each patient must be tested to qualify as a candidate for head and body weighting. Not all spines are able to tolerate this type of therapy. But for those spines that can tolerate it, the results of care are far more accelerated.
The weights are worn based on your specific spinal and postural distortions. They are worn immediately following any in-office spinal adjustments, as well as at home for the pre-determined amount of time needed by your spine. Once your optimal results have been achieved, you will decrease the frequency and/or time you need to use these weights until your spine has stabilized. You and the doctors will discuss your individual needs and plan.
This passive therapy is used for our most acute patients with muscle spasms and inflammation. The electronic muscle stimulation flushes out the inflammation in the tissues and decreases the muscle spasms before you receive your adjustments. This helps you receive the most productive and effective adjustments possible when you have an acute spasm or injury.
Commonly called the "roller table", this passive therapy helps to relax the muscles of the mid back and spine and gently tractions the joints of the spine. If you are unable to perform the active versions of traction in our office, the roller table offers an alternative.
Our decompression, Pettibon Spinal Rejuvenation Therapy (SRT), is a full system designed to not only decompress the spine, discs, and ligaments, but also incorporate a very intensive muscle strengthening program. This is how our program differs from all other programs. We not only address the area of concern, restore the motion to the vertebral segments, but we teach you and assist you in creating core strength in the spinal/postural muscles.
